Essaouira

A walled city by the coast, with a long sandy beach, city walls on which to enjoy sunset drinks, loads of little shops & cafes, a great hammam for a massage. So glad we had two days here, to just relax and feel the fun of this place.

We swam in the Atlantic Ocean, not as cold as I’d expected but amusing the only ones swimming early morning were Australian. Coffee was very welcome at breakfast afterwards.

Great food here and very seafood based, fish tagine last night and seafood couscous tonight. Strange to have so many tourists round, after the relatively undeveloped places we’ve been visiting.
