Another year, 200kg of tomatoes and 8 women working together to produce beautiful passata to take home.
It’s a huge day ( I’ll be honest, I left half way through to go watch my team unexpectedly win their T20 match), and on a purely financial basis the rewards aren’t there. However that’s not what the day is about, it’s about beautiful produce, paying primary producers, sharing a physical task and lovely lunch, to have an artisanal product to take home.
