Busso, short for Busselton and the 1.6im ‘Mile to Shore’ swim tomorrow, is this weekend’s adventure. I realised this week just how much Australians shorten everything, when a Canadian mentioned that he would naturally lengthen words and never shorten a name; he struggled with Jennifer going to Jen. So I don’t think Busso would make any sense to him.
I am completing the Mile to Shore, where I walk up to the end of the jetty and swim back. A much easier swim, and a distance I have completed a few times now. Julie is starting at the shore, per the photograph above, and swimming all the way around. At 3.6km, a much longer swim.
However I am still using my swim as an excuse to carbo-load 😊 that fruit & nut toast is really good !
I’ll work the toast, and Thai noodles tonight, off as I swim through that finish line tomorrow morning.
The metal health fundraisers are out, for a small donation you get your photo with the dogs. I was very happy to support the cause and it was clear the photo and then making a fuss of the dogs wasn’t optional.
