Well, checking my British passport and finding it expired by 6 days felt like a minor inconvenience. Then reading the change in entry rules for the UK, it seems that all dual citizens have to enter on their British passports as we are ineligible to enter on our other passport. In my case, my Australian passport cannot be used for an electronic visa.

While I have no need to go to the UK 🇬🇧 at the moment, it’s a strange feeling that the option has been removed. I’ve sent in the application for a new passport and don’t anticipate any issues, but I do feel in a strange limbo. It feels a little similar to the start of COVID, as borders were closing globally albeit this change much more pointed towards one national border and border regroup of people.

I don’t have an issue with the ruling, and can see the security logic. However it does feel very strange not to be easily able to dash back to Scotland right now, until my new passport arrives.
