I had always hoped that this blog would develop into a travel blog, as I moved back into living life rather more free of MS. My next journey; a driving trip around WA !
Here in Australia we have a wonderful benefit called Long Service Leave, where we get 13 weeks of paid holiday every 10 years. Historically this was to allow people the time to catch a boat back to the UK, see family then catch a boat back to Australia or New Zealand. I have never heard of anywhere else in the world with this fantastic gift, of time and money with which to enjoy it.
So, this Monday or Tuesday, I start driving around WA. I had planned a big overseas trip, but COVID put an end to that plan and exploring our State for 4 weeks seems like a very suitable substitute option.
And it’ll be another ‘longest journey’ for me, driving around 4000km within this beautiful State.
