A very English garden

A very English garden

A few photographs, of a graceful English house with beautiful gardens. Nyman House was built around 1890, by German emigré bankers, and the gardens developed over many years. Fire and devastating storms have had an impact, however the gardens have been returned to their former glory and were lovely in a sunny autumn afternoon.

Much of the house was destroyed by fire. It has been stabilised, and left as a stark graceful structure.

Not a garden, but Lloyd Park near Judith’s house and a very pleasant stroll after many house on the plane.

Today’s plan is off into London, the National Gallery and a nice lunch at the gallery, in sunshine ! So lucky with the weather so far.
