Ok the posts will now change, from fabulous travel photos and exploring new places, to the last stretch of my Masters. This Masters has been ongoing since 2021, when I stayed it post Woodside redundancy as an opportunity to upskill myself for the energy transition. A new job happened, but the studies kept on albeit at a slower pace. This year, the final stretch, is my project and thesis, and is the equivalent of 4 units over the next 6 months.
It’s going to be a stretch, learning lots but very self-guided so there’s only one person keeping me focussed. The challenge will be maintaining a balance, between study and work and exercise and socialising. Just some pictures below of swimming, footy, the activities which will need to be balanced with a Masters thesis.

The subject of my thesis is “Workforces in Transition”, comparing how fossil fuel workers perceive the transition from oil and gas to renewable energy, across Australia and Scotland. I have the awareness, opportunity and resources to look at my own skillset; there are many who may not see a pathway to participate in the transition.
A couple of photographs from last night, where Andy and I went to the opening of an exhibition of Indigenous artworks in Perth. I need to keep a balance of study and social and work, my next challenge.
