A few crazy days of travelling; a last minute dash up to Varanus Island for a critical scope so an Uber ride, a plane, a helicopter, a boat to the platform, a boat to platform step which was challenging in moving seas, then the same in return. Then today a last minute flight to Hobart just because. A lot of hours, a lot of work, a lot of stress due to the redundancy hanging over everyone, so we made a decision to take a mid winter break for a few days in beautiful Tasmania.

The boat transfer was a bit interesting, the boat pushes up against the fenders then you have to reach across a void to the ladder, grab in with your hands then step onto the ladder, this all while the boat is moving with the swell.
A coupe of photos from the platform, two days out here changing a crane rope with really good people. Sorry no photos of the whales, dolphins, sea snakes and many fish we watched !

Plans for Tasmania this time are very much food, cocktails and not doing very much, a peaceful break away sorely needed.
