Some photographs from a warm, autumnal two days in Esslingen. A bit of rain the first day but then the next day perfect for walking, coffee and cake then a glass or two of German sparking. Rude not to appreciate the local speciality.

Esslingen is a beautiful little town, luckily not bombed too badly in the war given it’s proximity to major manufacturing in Stuttgart.

The whole of Esslingen is above a massive wine cellar, this is the cellar for the wool shop we visited a few times. The cellars are all interlinked, as previously they are managed by a few vineyards and businesses. Not a bad storage option.

And a soccer match in the vines, Anthony’s soccer team won 15:0 !
